For counsel
One free screening receipt, wrapped for the courtroom: a records-custodian declaration under FRE 902(13) and 28 U.S.C. § 1746 describing the electronic process, a per-report Scope of Search, a replay script that recomputes the hash without us, and the receipt itself — JSON and print record. Released after the custodian types the signature, usually the same business day.
What the $495 buys
The paid report contains no record the free receipt does not. The fee buys the declaration, the scope page, the script and the signature step — never a different or fuller record.
What it is not
This report is not a certified copy of any government record under Federal Rule of Evidence 902(4). Only the agency that holds a record can certify a copy of it. It is not legal advice, it does not determine identity, and it does not state or imply that any named party did or did not do anything. Admissibility is for the court.
For a Rule 902(4) certified copy of a government record, apply to the agency that holds it (e.g. the Secretary of State, HHS-OIG, GSA) or use a retrieval service such as CT Corporation. The free receipt for any name is at /screening.
Custodian: Chris Edmonds, Records Custodian, Alpha Covenant Holdings. Free for legal aid organisations and public defenders — self-attested at order, confirmed by the custodian before release.
